Ferreth the Free
Ferreth, was once a totem-god for the aspect of personal freedom. He was once a great Cleric that taught that true personal freedom came from self mastery and self control. His followers included Monks and Rangers. Ferreth's people were conquered by the Assarisans and forced to fight in the Assarisan army as special scouts. The Clerics of Assar placed his totem in the Garden at the Top. His great statue keeps watch over the city to this day. The Assarisan warrior caste adopted some of the teaching of Ferreth's, which helped them become a highly disciplined and coordinated fighting force.
Ferreth and his followers taught that true freedom only came through self-control and self-mastery. A man or warrior who is ruled by his emotions, his passions, is never truly free because his actions are not his own. In order to be a true man, followers of Ferreth taught a type of stoicism.
